Forthcoming events

As well as the annual Julian Festival, the Friends of Julian organises other events from time to time. Usually these are Julian related, but sometimes on a more general theme. Below are full details of what's coming up on the calendar, including information about how to book.

In the previous events section, as well as information about past events, you will find resources such as audio downloads and transcripts.

The annual Festival will take place on Saturday May 12th at St Julian’s Church starting at 11.00am with Solemn Mass followed by the Julian Lecture at 12.15pm.
This year’s lecturer is Brian Thorne, Emeritus Professor of Counselling at the University of East Anglia and currently Chairman of the Friends of Julian of Norwich. He is the first lecturer to deliver the Julian Lecture for the second time having been the lecturer in 1993 when he spoke on the theme of ‘Julian, Radical Psychotherapist’. His title for 2012 is: ‘A love too great to bear? Julian’s gauntlet to humanity’.
