Monday 20th February saw the unveiling of Michelle Hocketts wonderful oil painting of Julian. Michelle is an acclaimed artist following a long career as a professional musician. She studied drawing and painting at the Art Student's League in Alexandria, Virginia. She also studied drawing and painting at the famous Art Students League in New York City with Gregg Kreutz. Michelle has also studied under David Leffel, and Robert H Johnson. Michelle is a member of the Coppini Academy of Fine Arts where she has won many awards and taught weekly classes in oil painting. She was juried into the Oil Painters of America and is a member of the San Antonio Visual Arts Association. Her work has been exhibited at the former Studio 106 in Stone Oak, San Antonio and various SAVA venues, the Good Art Company in Fredericksburg, Texas as well as in the Coppini Gallery. Michelle's recent relocation to Norwich means she will be painting some East Anglian scenes which we will look forward to viewing.
