On October 22nd Pauline Lovelock leaves for a week's visit to the diocese of Lourdes and the famous pilgrimage Shrine. She goes at the invitation of the Bishop of Lourdes to act as an adviser to those concerned with the reception and teaching of children at the Shrine. The Bishop, Mgr Jacques Perrier, recently visited the Julian Shrine at his own request while based at Walsingham for a Conference of Rectors of Marian Shrines in Europe. He spent a lengthy period at the Shrine with Pualine and several of the Trustees of the Friends of Julian and was greatly impressed by all he experienced and especially by the quality of the work undertaken with the children. Pauline's invitation is a direct outcome of this visit and marks a significant link between the two Shrines which in their different ways have a profound impact on pilgrims from around the globe.
To keep up to date with Paulines trip to Lourdes she is going to do a blog as seen through the eyes of JC - Julian's Cat. Follow the link for up dates. http://julianscatonpilgrimage.blogspot.com
